A Well Child/Tamariki Ora (WCTO) Provider is an organisation that provides child development monitoring for your baby from 6 weeks of age to when they start school. The most well-known WCTO provider is Whānau Āwhina Plunket, but there are also Māori providers who fulfill this role. This is a free service.
Your first WCTO visit is usually in your home, but following visits are usually at the provider’s clinic rooms, although this can be negotiated with the specialist nurse who sees you.
